Bengal Collection for John Hardy

John Hardy
Sustainable Jewelry for a Cause
This project was created to give students experience designing for an established
company with an established brand identity. Students were given the opportunity
to chose the company they would most like to design for and then research their
aesthetic. The collection was required to consist of 3 different items, with the
ultimate goal of placing the designs on a model in an ad. The designs and the ad
were intended to fit the brand identity of the chosen company.
John Hardy often bases their collections off of inspiration from their location in
Asia. There is a strong focus on the environment in many of their concepts. For
this assignment, I designed a collection of 3 pieces of jewelry inspired by Bengal
Tigers. They are endangered and native to Asia. These aspects are important in
that the cause fits in with other causes John Hardy has aligned themselves with.
The inspiration provides an aesthetic that fits with existing John Hardy products.
